If you can walk, you can learn to dance Argentine Tango

~~~~~
The fixed, pre-set arrangements of 'sequence' dances make for
their inherent stability, elegance and order; the set patterns
of less formal
dances enable empathy with the vigour of the music.   To dance AT,
which is always improvised but has rules and patterns made possible
by those rules, the qualities given the dancer by other types of
dance must already be present
in the dancer.   Then, the
unpredictability and flexibility of AT
allow for the
sudden moments that can be so beautiful
~~~~~

To dance AT, a man must be at least 30 and
have suffered at least one broken heart

~~~~~
On 'leading and following'
Share with her the rhythm...      Now, place your foot where she
marked the territory with hers
~~~~~

A summary of Aisha's advice to followers
It is in tango as it is in sex.   If he does not get it right, do not
compensate for his inadequacy or pretend you are satisfied.   If you keep
faking it, he will never learn to do it properly.

~~~~~
It takes a great dancer  (Alberto Paz in this case) creatively to break a rule:
In Tango, imitation is the worst kind of flattery
I recommend you visit Alex Krebs' web site for his collection.   Google:
Tango Berretin  then choose: ALEX  / HOW DOES ALEX THINK  / RANDOM THOUGHTS  (especially 'WHY DO YOU DANCE TANGO?')
If you asked me about Alex I would tell you that he
is
stunningly elegant and that walking with Alex is
to walk
in Tango Paradise
Sometimes, a general wisdom takes on deep, specific meaning
in
tango - such as the following
~
Relationships founded on obligation are abusive
This craving for tango  -  its addictiveness...
Could it be that connecting with the music, with a rhythm so much in sympathy with the human heart, increases one's sense of well-being?
